CTI Electronics Corporation is a privately held Connecticut Corporation, founded in 1986 by CTI Industries Inc., Exendis B.V., and Peter J. Mikan, the inventor of the original "Industrial Mouse™". CTI's focus is on being the premier supplier of operator input devices for the industrial, medical, military, off-road and aerospace markets. These operator input devices include a complete family of industrial joysticks, Industrial Mouse™ pointers and industrial keyboards; all which are designed to be the most reliable and durable in that market place.
CTI sells directly a through a number of Value Added Resellers (VARs) and Distributors around the globe. The design and manufacturing of core sensors, final assembly, testing and customer support are all performed at the Stratford, CT facility. CTI has in effect a quality system which is compliant with MIL-I-45208 standard.
CTI's core competency is designing and manufacturing key sensor technology required for operator input devices. By not relying on outside suppliers for these sensors, CTI can be sure that the sensors will meet all the environmental, reliability and long term durability that is required for industrial applications. In addition, this assures CTI's customers that the sensors are both readily available and cannot be made obsolete, or that critical specifications or manufacturing processes do not change. Not only does CTI guarantee reliability and durability, CTI guarantees long-term availability and support. To this end, CTI has access to more than sixteen patents, either issued or pending.
