This ball is framed with a metal or plastic housing using stainless steel shafts, ABEC grade bearings, dual optical encoders, providing a MTBF > 100,000 hours and a MIL-HDBK-217F rating. These aerospace grade trackballs have a NEMA 4 (IP65) sealing in static position and NEMA 12 (IP54) in dynamic motion. The housed Printed Circuit Board offers quadrature output via a 10-pin connector. This Open Frame (exposed) electronics is used by an Original Equipment Manufacturer to mount into a sealed enclosure or panel.

          Panel Mount Trackball – A digital interface PCB is combined with the OEM Trackball, mounted into a metal plate with cover (enclosed) and offers either a PS/2 or USB cable. Product Information

The T6000 Series of industrial trackballs have a very small 2.5 inch square footprint design. These precision trackballs require less than 1.0 inch below panel depth for the quadrature model, and 1.54 inches for units with an interface PCB (Industrial Mouse™ Trackball Mouse Pointer). The 1.3 inch (33mm) diameter industrial trackballs can withstand over 100g forces. CTI’s industrial trackballs mount to the panel with four screws and comes with a neoprene gasket; which combined with the formed Teflon sealing ring in the anodized aluminum housing is spill resistant. The unit is protected from below with a blue anodized aluminum cover that also includes a drain hole.

These industrial trackballs and trackball mouse pointers combine all the high reliability features of CTI’s trackballs, with an encoder resolution of either 832 or 416 per rotation, or divisions thereof.

CTI's custom panel mount trackballs are ruggedized to meet aerospace, medical, and military standards. CTI's panel mount trackballs can meet MIL-STD-167-1, MIL-STD-901D, MIL-STD-461F, MIL-STD-810G, and MIL-HDBK-217F. These panel mount trackballs are able to withstand vibration, shock, high EMI/RFI levels, compliant for humidity, fungus, spray, and MTBF is greater than 100,000 hours.

T7000 Series Industrial Trackball

1.5" (38mm) Panel Mount Trackballs & Trackball Mouse Pointers

Product Information

The T7000 Series of industrial trackballs have a very small 2.63 inch square footprint design. These precision pointing devices require 1.25 inches of below panel depth for the quadrature model, and 1.75 inches for units with an interface PCB (Industrial Mouse™ Trackball Mouse Pointer). The 1.5 inch (38mm) diameter industrial trackballs can withstand over 30g forces. CTI’s industrial trackballs mount to the panel with four screws and comes with a neoprene gasket; which combined with the formed Teflon sealing ring in the anodized aluminum housing is NEMA 12 (IP54) sealed. The unit is protected from below with a blue anodized aluminum cover that also includes a drain hole.

These industrial trackballs and trackball mouse pointers combine all the high reliability features of CTI’s trackballs, with an encoder resolution of either 960 or 480 per rotation, or divisions thereof.

Product Information

The T4000 Series of industrial trackballs have a high rotational inertia, 3.0 inch (76mm) ball in a 4.25 inch square footprint design. These rugged pointing devices require a below panel depth of 2.65 inches for units with an interface PCB (Trackball Mouse Pointer). 

The 3.0 inch diameter precision trackballs can withstand over 6g forces. CTI's industrial trackballs mount to the panel with four screws and comes with a neoprene gasket; which combined with the formed Teflon sealing ring in the anodized aluminum housing is NEMA 12 (IP54) sealed. The unit is protected from below with a blue anodized aluminum cover that also includes a drain hole.

The switches are full travel mechanical switches with gold contacts rated at 5,000,000 cycles, and are protected with a molded polyurethane seal; which in combination with the formed Teflon sealing ring provide spill resistance. The 1.5 inch diameter sealed mouse pointers can withstand over 30g forces. The encoder resolution is available as either 960 or 480 per rotation, or divisions thereof.

Although these industrial computer mouse pointers are very compact, they come complete with an interface PCB and cable compatible with all types of computers. With a smaller ball, these trackball mouse pointers are suitable for higher g force applications, such as military and aerospace.
