KIF6000 Medical / Cleanroom Keyboard KIT6000 Medical / Cleanroom Keyboard KIO7000 Medical / Cleanroom Keyboard

CTI' medical keyboard is the most reliable and durable hygienic keyboard available anywhere in the world today. It's NEMA 4 (IP66) watertight sealing protection resists ingress of liquid or solid debris. What makes these medical keyboards really special is the parylene coating protection that is applied to the white rubber FDA Silicone elastomers, strain relief, joystick boot and knob. On a molecular level, Parylene encapsulates the substrate materials of the hygienic keyboard to ensure a non-permeable surface to bio-hazardous agents.
The robust design of CTI' medical keyboard is comprised of a PCB with "hard gold" contact surface, "hard carbon" pills, and a tactile rubber elastomer that has exceeded 10,000,000 activations. When installed in either iridited painted aluminum or the finest grade of stainless steel these medical keyboards will provide 10+ years of reliable service.
Long term durability is guaranteed through the use of the highest quality materials and components which also ensures the highest reliability while being subjected to repeated hygienic cleaning, disinfection, or sterilization. CTI' hygienic keyboard is the only choice when reliability is critical™ to the success of your application.

NEMA 4 (IP66) OEM Hygienic Keyboard

Product Information

The NEMA 4 (IP66) sealing KI6800 Series hygienic keyboard is an "open frame" that is offered to Original Equipment Manufacturers. The innovative small footprint is the most compact size available with 69 keys providing 101/104 key functionality. The heavy duty PCB is layered with thick "hard gold" contacts and the white FDA silicone elastomer has molded "hard carbon" pill contacts that combined have been proven to provide more than 10 years of reliable, maintenance free, service. The white FDA silicone elastomer with its 2mm key travel provides excellent tactile feel, but most impressive is the impermeable molecular barrier sealing protection obtained from a Parylene C conformal coating process. This miniature hygienic keyboard repels infectious pathogens or carcinogenic compounds so that proper decontamination, sanitization, or sterilization procedures can easily remove.

As an OEM of medical devices or cleanroom devices, this hygienic keyboard can be confidently designed into equipment with an assurance of high reliability and long term durability. Applications include managing infection control in healthcare facilities with usage as a medical keyboard, hospital keyboard, medical cart keyboard, surgical keyboard, or operating room (OR) keyboard. Or, managing exposure and/or contamination control in chemical, biological, or pharmaceutical research laboratories and other cleanroom facilities such as semiconductor, lithography, and manufacturing with a cleanroom keyboard.

KIT6000 Series Cleanroom Keyboard with 1.3" (33mm) Trackball Mouse

PDF Icon Understanding NEMA and IP Ratings

NEMA 12 (IP54) Cleanroom Keyboard with 1.3" (33mm) Trackball Mouse

Product Information

The NEMA 12 (IP54) sealed KIT6000 Series cleanroom keyboard is an enclosed Plug-n-Play keyboard that is offered to Systems Integrators and Commercial End Users. The keyboard itself has a NEMA 4X (IP66) watertight seal but the 1.3" (33mm) trackball mouse has a NEMA 4 (IP65 rating while stationary (static mode) and a NEMA 12 (IP54) while rotating (dynamic mode).. The hygienic keyboard has 69 keys with 101/104 key functionality; it is combined with a high reliability 1.3" trackball mouse pointer in a compact design. The heavy duty PCB is layered with thick "hard gold" contacts and the white FDA silicone elastomer has molded "hard carbon" pill contacts that combined have been proven to provide more than 10 years of reliable, maintenance free, service. The white FDA silicone elastomer with its 2mm key travel provides excellent tactile feel, even while wearing gloves, but most impressive is the impermeable molecular barrier sealing protection obtained from a Parylene C conformal coating process. This compact cleanroom keyboard is recommended in areas where proper decontamination can be accomplished.

This compact Plug-n-Play keyboard is manufactured with the finest grade of stainless steel or anodized aluminum. The metal enclosure employs a gasket sealed bottom plate which has two stainless steel threaded inserts for mounting to a surface. The 9.5 foot USB cable is secured through a specially designed white PVC strain relief which is Parylene C coated. Optionally, a USB bulkhead cable is available if the USB port is behind a panel or cabinet. The CTI trackball mouse is an extremely high precision cursor controller with very fine movements of 1mm (0.04") or pixel by pixel. Typical usage is outlining images or tracing objects on the display screen.

As a Plug-n-Play medical device or cleanroom device, this compact keyboard can be confidently installed with an assurance of high reliability and long term durability. But, the applications as a medical keyboard or cleanroom keyboard will be limited due to the NEMA 12 (IP54) rating and the high precision mouse pointer. Usage could include an ultrasound keyboard or a medical cart keyboard.

Thank you for selecting CTIs medical computer peripheral products. As our customer you will discover the long term benefit and value that is designed into all of CTIs human machine interface devices. The robust design and quality craftsmanship produces a level of reliability and durability that is a step above any so-called competitive "medical grade" device. We pride ourselves in the fact that our designs have withstood the test of time. We are constantly innovating and adapting, using the best materials and technologies available today. It's reflected in the products, which can operate from one extreme temperature range to another within moments, protect against harsh chemicals, oils, and bio-hazardous materials, and provide a water tight seal for ingress protection.

We understand that you cannot afford the risk of throwing away or having to constantly repair cheap imitations of so called medical products. The cost of service interruption, including actual downtime, loss of materials, additional labor costs, loss of actual revenue, will negatively impact your bottom line.

Your return on investment will be recognized through years of uninterrupted service, zero to little maintenance required, reduced labor costs along with employee frustration/aggravation levels, and most importantly your customers' satisfaction.

Commercial off the Shelf (COTS), factory direct, pricing is provided to our clientele which consists of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Systems Integrators, and commercial end users from a wide variety of industries such as industrial processing, medical, military, off-road equipment and aerospace.
